Not a Medical Device

Epiqora is an advanced AI cosmetic guidance tool, not a certified medical diagnostic device. The routines and ingredients recommended by our platform are for informational and cosmetic purposes only. Always consult a board-certified dermatologist before treating acne, severe conditions, or starting new active ingredients.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, browsing, or utilizing the Epiqora platform (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must immediately cease use of the Service.

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the Service following the posting of any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.

By using this Service, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age, or 13 years of age with explicit parental consent. We do not knowingly collect biometric data from children.

2. Critical Medical Disclaimer

The core function of Epiqora is to analyze facial topography and suggest over-the-counter (OTC) skincare routines. You explicitly acknowledge and agree to the following:

  • No Medical Advice: The Service does not provide medical diagnoses, treatments, or prescriptions.
  • Risk of Reaction: Skincare products can cause allergic reactions, chemical burns, or purging. Epiqora assumes zero liability for adverse physical reactions resulting from products or ingredients recommended by the AI engine.
  • Patch Testing: We strongly advise performing a dermal patch test on any new product before applying it to your entire face.

3. Acceptable Use & Restrictions

Epiqora provides access to a sophisticated, resource-intensive backend infrastructure. To maintain platform stability, you agree not to engage in any of the following restricted activities:

  • API Abuse: You may not use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to bulk-upload images or repeatedly trigger the analysis API endpoints.
  • Inappropriate Content: The image upload functionality is strictly for facial skin analysis. Uploading explicit, illegal, or non-human biometric imagery is strictly prohibited and will result in IP blocking.
  • Reverse Engineering: You may not attempt to decompile, reverse engineer, or extract the underlying system architecture and prompt engineering logic driving the Epiqora engine.

4. Third-Party API Processing

As detailed in our Privacy Policy, Epiqora utilizes the Google Gemini API to process biometric data. By using the Service, you consent to your temporary image buffer and consultation inputs being transmitted to this third-party provider for the sole purpose of generating your personalized analysis report.

Epiqora is not responsible for any downtime, hallucinations, or logic errors originating from the third-party LLM (Large Language Model) provider.

5. Intellectual Property

The Epiqora brand, including its name, logos, UI/UX design, custom CSS architectures ("Premium Pearl"), and proprietary frontend/backend JavaScript logic, are the exclusive property of the developer.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes. While the source code may be publicly accessible on platforms like GitHub for portfolio evaluation purposes, it remains proprietary. You may not clone, distribute, or commercialize the platform's codebase or design assets without explicit written permission.

6. Portfolio Status & "As Is" Provision

Epiqora is deployed as a high-fidelity software engineering portfolio product. While engineered to production-grade standards, the Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis.

We do not provide enterprise Service Level Agreements (SLAs). We make no warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or entirely secure. The developer reserves the right to suspend or terminate the Service at any time, without prior notice, for maintenance or deprecation.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Epiqora, its developer, or its affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of data, skin damage, or emotional distress, resulting from your access to or use of, or inability to access or use, the Service.

8. Contact Information

If you have legal inquiries, wish to report abuse of the platform, or have questions regarding these Terms, please contact us.
